About SPRIM

From a single consulting firm in 2001 to a brand shared by two companies today.

SPRIM was founded in 2001 as a life‑science consulting and CRO firm. Over the next fifteen years it worked with biotech, medtech, pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare companies across the Americas, Europe and Asia‑Pacific; building a reputation for rigour at the boundary of science and commerce.

Following a 2015 divestment and reorganisation, the SPRIM name became shared by two specialised companies. SPRIM Global Investments, headquartered in Singapore, deploys strategic capital into clinical‑stage innovation. SPRIM Health Group, headquartered in Europe, provides integrated medical, marketing and commercial consulting.

Dr. Michael Shleifer

Co-Founder, Managing Partner

Michael is a healthcare entrepreneur with PhDs and Masters degrees from Paris V and Sciences Po. He co-founded SPRIM in 2001 – now a 700-person, 17-country consulting and CRO firm – and in 2015 launched SPRIM Global Investments to fund late-stage biotech and tech-enabled clinical trial companies.

Thomas Fratacci

Chief Financial Officer

Thomas is Group CFO of SPRIM and SPRIM Ventures, overseeing all finance functions and business modelling for funding rounds. With 20 years of experience in corporate finance, his background includes financial audit at Arthur Andersen and KPMG, and 8 years at WPP/Kantar. He holds a Masters from EDHEC.

Ivan Jarry is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of SPRIM, where since 2001 he has led global operations and opened offices across Asia, the Americas, and beyond. In 2015 he co-founded SPRIM Ventures. He holds an MBA from EDHEC Paris.

Olivier Shleifer

Co-Founder, Managing Partner

Olivier Shleifer is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of SPRIM Health Group, a 500+ person global health consultancy. Since 2001 he has focused on health innovation solutions, and also teaches entrepreneurship at ESCP Business School and innovation at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He holds a degree from ESCP.
